Welcome to The World! We're excited to have you all joining us for our merry little MMO adventure. Consider this your Official OOC Intro Post™! Go on, introduce yourselves.

AU PLOTTING.

If you've yet to solidify your character's AU or want to plot with others, please take the opportunity to do so before the game launches on July 29th. If you have any questions or comments, grab a mod! We're here to help. Additionally, please ensure you've familiarized yourself with the premise before sticking out feelers for any additional planning.

Plotting: His AU is pretty set but if anyone wants existing CR (mostly of the online variety) my arms are open! Michel is a 27yo recluse currently living in Strasbourg, France. His avatar looks very much like his IRL self, so anyone from the area can have happened across this suspiciously vampiric man who only appears at night, if they want.

He'll be using a different handle in Fragment, but he also runs a very small forum where he posts weird little games he makes in his downtime. They're bizarre, unintuitive, and maybe give off tryhard goth vibes... but they're free? Featuring, so far: a point-and-click mystery adventure with multiple endings that almost all result in the player character dying, a gothic sidescroller with inexplicable rhythm game elements, and a pet raising simulator (no, he will not be taking questions at this time). Michel has zero art or music ability, so if a character with an online presence in one of those wants to have collabed with him or been commissioned by him, HMU! :nyaa: Also open to anyone having spoken to him on the forum, although he won't be owning up to that handle anytime soon.

Michel is very socially awkward and aloof but will be making some efforts (citation needed) in Fragment. He's blunt, grumpy, and sharp-tongued but unexpectedly a team player with a lot of game experience. Any n00bs or people looking for parties will be accepted unless they really tick him off (this is a challenge). Looking for: genuinely nice characters to make him jumpy, novice gamers, trolls bc he's incredibly reactive with this cursed headset, younger characters because he's notably softer with kids, literally everything! Please throw all CR at me oh my god I'm so excited.

this would be so good... Beel already knows how to deal with awkward nerds, right? michel is Suspicious of nice people, but also as the youngest brother of three, he wants younger siblings to mess with so badly. he'd help Beel with his food glam ambitions?!

Beel/Barrett is the second youngest of seven so he gets u buddy, and his awkward nerd brother is also in the beta (please see Levi/trashtier) so yep he sure is used to it, even if he's a little blunt or clueless in how he chooses to address it sometimes.

hello!! novice gamer here!! I wanna say that hani has played his pet raising simulator, like maybe they found it once at an airport while randomly scrolling thru different websites

also please I love his pet sim being the surprise runaway hit... someday Michel is going to find out people have actually played his weird little games and be quietly touched. Michel will definitely shepherd them along on dungeon runs in the meantime! Squishy wavemasters need some frontline coverage

Weird little indie games? Sign Levi up. Not that he'd know he's interacting with the creator of said games in this game, heheh.

Michel would be so (tsun) happy about people having played his games... he can definitely geek out with Levi a little when he detects Fellow Gamer Vibes! and probably expose himself as the creator like, immediately, if anything either positive or critical is said about his work HELP

ALSO YES, DEFINITELY PARTYING UP!! Michel just hanging around the brothers who are actually close so he can sink more into his feelings about how much he misses his brothers, whoops. ^_^

Anthy is literally 14 and has never videoed a game before, Michel would probably be a good influence. And she'd probably love his pet simulator lbr

HELLO I'M SO EXCITED FOR ANTHY

Michel will absolutely take her in as a gaming apprentice (at least 80% less rudely about it than he's going to be at adults, he'll try...) If she hasn't stumbled across his weird little website before, he can quietly pass her the pet sim sometime while acting like he doesn't know where it came from, LOL!

I don't know what the age difference is between Anthy and Akio, but unfortunately Michel's been out of the Stuffy Rich People Scene for like 13 years, so probably no recognizable connection there... although the idea of young Akio accosting teenage Michel with a pic of 1yo Anthy is kind of hilarious.

he will absolutely provide gaming tips (cough unsolicited advice) at the first sign that she's clueless. And idk how difficult he'll be about owning up to it, but he'd have a lot of empathy with her family situation that's likely to make him more open to her when they get better-acquainted.
