As you adjust to your new way of life, you start to notice that healing isn't quite as effective as it used to be. Broken bones and internal injuries no longer heal the way that they have been, and consumables are harder to come by. Hopefully you have a stockpile somewhere.

Either way, this is a sign that you need to be more careful from here on out. Who knows what could happen?

MEMORIES.

The things that have shaped you have always remained at the forefront of your mind and your heart. Yet, you feel that one of those memories is slipping away.

Characters will lose a single memory that is listed on their application. What piece of themselves will they lose?

WE ARE FUCKING UNDER ATTACK.

What were once guaranteed safe havens are now a memory of the past, as monsters have invaded the Root Towns and PvE/PvP have been enabled with their sudden appearance. Some hard work can take care of these monsters, but some of them boast impenetrable shields.

Hopefully a few of you know exactly what needs to be done to defeat them.

He'll be quick to notice, because he no-lifes professions shit. He's also hoarding. Also, since he's level 4 now, chefs can cook food up to 20 servings, so bring him your ingredients for better efficiency.
- He's also customizing his weapons for pure status inflicting purposes. He's part debuffer now. He can be a real crowd control class now! lol
- The memory that Oria will be forgetting is (pulled straight from his app): Oria standing in the hospital room of his dying boyfriend that he loved very much, pondering on whether he should pull the plug on his life support. There were malicious rumors afterward that many people believe Oria really did that, but he never did. He wished he did though. He didn't think his boyfriend deserved to suffer, but he was also the mayor's son. So. Fun!

It will change him drastically and not for the better; while he won't struggle as much with his crippling survivor's guilt, he will also have no explanation for why his family disappeared from his life. Instead of missing them, he will despise their memory, assuming he must have been abandoned instead.

- Those occasional moments of kindness people have experienced in the past will be snuffed out by this change. Enjoy! (:

- Fandaniel had been stockpiling materials in case things continued to become worse in the game. He has plenty of extra crafting materials in Telophoroi's storage but he has limited access to guild leader and officers only which means... just him and Cultist Grunty. He is not inclined to share but can be convinced otherwise if anyone really wants some additional materials.

- Either that or try your luck with Cultist Grunty! Who remains far nicer than Fandaniel, thankfully. CG will fret over going against orders, though.

- He will be watching other people struggle with monsters from root town rooftops and having a grand time not helping. Of course, when something attacks him, he will defend himself, so the trick here is to make sure whatever is threatening you also threatens him lololol.

Plans: Levi was already having a poor time coping with living in-game 24/7, and it's just getting worse. Funny how he daydreamed about how cool it would be to live here back when this all began, huh? He spends the majority of his time either cooped up in the Fandom Foodies @ home common area or in his private room. Sometimes he makes himself really hard to find in general. As such, he's fallen behind on gathering and leveling his professions and was slow to reach level 50.

- For this patch, he's going to forget about his oldest brother winning custody of all the Blake kids over their father, which...is just going to put even more of a damper on his mood. While it'll be more of the same to most people, the ripple effects will be more noticeable to closer CR.

- He got special level 50 armor! ...It's gonna hurt him a lot!! Wearing this armor is going to make progressing his level even harder and he's going to need some help coping with it if he wants to try getting beyond level 50. He'd just avoid wearing it at all if he didn't need the best armor possible to deal with the ever-present increase in danger...

- If he manages to get out of his rut, he's going to get his ass in gear to defend the root towns and use his stores to craft useful items for everyone. Right now, though, he's just kind of uselessly sitting on it all. Levi voice: ha. classic, useless me.

Seeking: People to help Levi get himself together, whether it's via comfort or bullying. He just needs a push right now and the source isn't as important! Always up for general CR-deepening and building as well!
Offering: Cringy otaku who is really depressed and anxious, currently trying very hard to lean into his shut-in lifestyle despite being in a video game. It's fine. But if dragged out of his hole, he's a formidable ally and has a decent stock of supplies for battle.

Anything else: Thank you all for bearing with my slowness as of late! 💫 lol. Mithrun will be losing the memory that told him to interpret the primary remaining desire he has in him as revenge, and he will likewise forget his intent was to not survive after taking the target of his revenge out. As a result of this, and because the accident in his past already caused him to lose basic desires to live and function, he will not have a driving purpose to motivate him to act. He will spend a lot of time just limply sat down in random places and staring into space / at the scenery like a (VN voice) puppet with its strings cut.

💫 He can still manage basic functions due to habit/routines, but he will need help. His dog, Basque, will be helping him with the boring stuff off-screen. Basque (or your character!) may have to help him with the bigger things, like dodging a monster trying to eviscerate him. Habit will keep him out of harm's way half the time, but he doesn't really have a desire to live, and has no primary purpose to work toward, so...? Sometimes habit might just not work.

💫 However, thanks to character development, Mithrun does have other desires, which ICly he's totally ignored! Because he definitely doesn't have other desires!!! But he does, and that's why he's not going to be a fallen piece of cardboard for the rest of the game. While he will be lost and without primary purpose, having revenge no longer around to eclipse and wither his other wants may allow him to pursue other fledgling interests without revulsion. We'll see. He will be very easy to redirect and cultivate (toward good or toward ill), and he will be both less inclined toward extraneous action (no desire to) but more inclined to follow emotional impulse. He's developing a personality, just like a real boy. Maybe one day he'll catch up to the AIs in the game.

💫 He'll be responding to the voice, and seeking a primary purpose overall. Surely the voice is one way to find that?

💫 This will be funky and experimental because there's only one thing I can remove from Mithrun that matters (revenge), and that's really the only thing he has until the very end of canon, so I'm definitely moving into post canon territory using only the 5 panels we've seen as basis. rip to any extra canon content that may come out and prove my guesstimate play wrong. But I'll be do my best to follow educated guesses based on the series, ty for your patience with me m( _ _ )m

💫 I don't have specific wants/desires, let's just do stuff! You'll probably need to be proactive with Mithrun, but I'll do my best to find ways to pull my weight. He's not going to object to near anything he's tugged into.

- Level 50 Lord Partizan though he will be pushing for 75 as soon as possible so that he can help in town. He recognizes the shields and will warn people off them, though whether people will listen or not is totes up to them. Though his specialty armor is an enormous problem, since he will enter a Berserk mode if his SP bottoms out, he will refuse to take it off.
- He cannot be found for two hours every morning.
- With Levi retreating quite a bit, Barrett will be a lot more present at Fandom Foodies to try and regulate what's been stockpiled, and he will still offer memberships to those that have nowhere to stay. Unfortunately, he can be caught taking a lot more SP regen items than he probably needs.
- Barrett is forgetting the entire two years of his oldest brother's custody battle to get his family away from their father. Given his current armor is just a steady stream of abuse from said father and he will have no recollection that his older brothers ever came to rescue himself and his twin... well. He will have some slightly different priorities moving forward.
- Talking to voices? Sure! :)

Seeking: Please ratshake this giant boy as he continues making mistakes.
Offering: A tank that is aggressively going to be tanking, despite knowing the dangers of it. If people need the HP shield for the squishier of our members, or need the plot poke on the shielded enemies being dangerous, here he is.

- Barrett confirmed at the meeting that he has Data Drain and is one of the ones who has been speaking to Lily so feel free to reach out if you want to poke him more about that, though be warned he is not going to be as warm or welcoming anymore.
- Barrett is forgetting the death of his mother but prying might show he also might be a little lacking in some other areas as well.

✿ As far as the memory erasure goes, Brambles is going to lose all memories of his father and his childhood. This is going to impact his overall perspective about being trapped in the game. When everyone first became trapped here, he had an immediate emotional reaction due to the prospect of being away from his father. For a little bit of backstory.... (CW: parent death) Brambles was raised by his father as a single dad because his mother died during childbirth. Because of this, Bramb and his father are very close. He grew up nomadic, travelling around the British Isles in a caravan where he spent his childhood. And now ... all those memories are gone! Yay..... (crying)

✿ Because he doesn't have any memories of his father any more, Brambles will be less worried about being stuck in the game - adopting a more indifferent attitude because he now genuinely believes that no one will even notice he's missing. He'll be more prone to trying risky things and just ... not feel the same. He'll feel this dull ache of loneliness in his chest and truly believe that he was abandoned as a baby because how else did he get here?? He has no family now. (CRYING HARDER)

The group home he was in was some of arguably nicest people have ever treated him, so he had something to think back on. Now, he's...well. His hostility will be turned down in favor of him being more gloomy (still prone to biting), and he'll be using the sign language more. Is he still annoying? Maybe.

✦ Dosei is not a hero, but he might just be beating up monsters for the sake of taking his anger out on them. Sometimes you have to cope.

Plans: Sooooooo one idea I have for memory loss involves losing her third memory I had on her app, which is where she was briefly part of a community called The Wings of Magius. It was a group to helping those in need and suffering from the loss of loved ones, and working together to find a means to survive the fear of death and... okay no lol spoilers, it was a cult that had some very morbid ideas about death, fates worse than death, and so on. She actually had a prominent position in it online, until she realized just how much of a cult it was and backed out. But if she loses her memory of this fact, then... well. There's a good chance that "Holy Mami" could find a way to make an appearance the more dire things get here in The World, especially if she starts listening too much to the voice blaming her for being here and all that. The least she can do is make up for that sin by trying to save everyone... by whatever definition of "saving" she thinks that means... TL;DR The World has made Mami suddenly Catholic again, sorry gang?? Anyway, if this sounds like a good idea and anyone would like to chip in and make it so that they have actually heard of the Wings of Magius somewhere before, hit me up for it. I think I should finally have time to tag and plot again this week, though I may be a little slow still until November! So let's get into what Matoba's up to...

In general Matoba has just been vibing, spending a lot of time with Hien, and killing monsters here and there, but he's mostly laying low and biding his time. He can use Data Drain, but he hasn't yet. On top of that, he also received his Lv.75 Set which now comes with a new, debilitating power that he hasn't used yet, and boy, you don't want him to.

The Meeting: Matoba sure did stir up a few things at the party, tho he mostly flew under the radar unless you were observant (ty Barrett for the distract). Still, as a result of that, he will be reaching out to a few people to have some chats.

In addition to that, as "Lily" continues to become more known and as the state of the game worsens, strange notes may begin to appear in certain places. Where??? You'll have to wait to find out more.

Memory losses: The first week, Matoba lost the memory of his on again/off again BF Natori, who I never actually got the chance to bring up anywhere LOL BUT if a certain other app element comes up it will become relevant. It also caused certain personality changes here and there.

This week, Matoba will be forgetting how he got the scar over his right eye. That sure was a thing you could catch on him at the meeting, too! Only a few people in-game have seen Matoba without his eyepatch to know he didn't have it on his character model before, but it's there now!

-As those weird notes begin to turn up, I'm gonna need people who wanna find them! Who hangs out in the library a lot? How about the cat cafe? Maybe Telo's hangout, the arcades in Lumina Cloth, etc?

This'll be an ongoing thing from here but as they happen, keep an eye out.

☀ He's basically woken up with two memories missing. He's forgotten the moment that sparked his love for nature and finding out his sister went missing. In short, this means you won't find him hanging out in his previous favorite spots (camping grounds, perched in places admiring the views, playing with the dogs in the dog park, etc), he'll be a lot bitchier and less patient with the people he's healing, more intent on throwing himself into harm's way to save someone, and a bit jumpy and nervous because of the voices (he doesn't know why they're back...).
